How we do it
First we’ll look at your current diet. Instead of giving you a list of forbidden foods, we’ll look at equally delicious, but healthier substitutes, healthier cooking methods and other practical ways of incorporating healthy eating into your daily life. Small but sustainable changes you can easily make while still enjoying the foods you like.
You will be educated on why the foods are substituted and the benefits you can gain from the newly introduced foods. Education is key in empowering you to make lasting change and take control of your own health.
Following the nutrition part, we’ll focus on the emotional and mental aspects of making changes. This is where the real work and change happens! You’ll be exploring the obstacles that stand in your way of achieving your weight loss/health goal and how to overcome them. You’ll be given tried and tested techniques to allow you to break the habits that no longer serve you.
Finally, you’ll receive guidance on other lifestyle factors and movement to incorporate into your new lifestyle. This is not an exercise program, but a focus on awareness of the body and natural movement (think walking), sleep and stress reduction. All of these important factors in a healthy lifestyle.
As an additional add-on you can also request healthy cooking lessons and shopping guidance, including, mastering the art of label reading. Cooking lessons takes place in the comfort of your own home and can involve the entire family. This is a great opportunity to start teaching your kids the benefits of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
